As a web designer in a high-volume-fast-turn-around environment I have created a variety of designs for a plethora of companies; ranging from construction companies to exotic food sellers to pen specialists.
Outwith my time at work, I have taken the opportunity to work with small businesses (Activate Japanese and Premier 5s) to create and develop their websites on a voluntary basis with a goal to improve my web design and development techniques.
At present I have been using the Adobe package to build websites, whilst using a combination of free software at work.

During my time in university studying Games Development, I learned the fundamentals of object orientated programming. This has helped me learn CodeIgniter, which I use as the framework for the majority of my websites (including this one).
My knowledge in web development code (CSS, HTML, Javascript, JQuery, MySQL and PHP) is primarily self-taught, often through trial and error whilst experimenting with new techniques and technology.
As an avid follower of recent trends I am currently in the process of learning HTML 5 and CSS 3.
